Since its my first job so I didn’t about anything, all I want is to help my client, since If a website is under attack for an examples like DDoS, brute force, or some random exploitation, the thing which comes to my mind as a first step is to reduce exposure and immediately I enable the CDN and firewall, that means mean’s I routing the website traffic through a secure global network that filters malicious requests and blocks attacks before they reach my client server. Also to block some suspicious IPs, and turn on rate limiting, and than without hesitate I made some patch vulnerabilities and disable unused services to enforce some strong authentication for admin access and than I just isolate an affected servers to prevent lateral movement.

It seems to be heavy, so with that i monitor logs in real time to identify attack patterns, so that I can back up the critical data, and if it needed means I scale his infrastructure or switch to a failover environment at the same time. So than keep the system updated, and after the attack and this everything I made some full security and than do some penetration test to prevent recurrence.

Once my job is don’t, I contact my client and I explain it to him, also when I explain this to him, I’m slightly doubted, whether he can understand this technical terms or what. But he is good in this, he even ask me about my work more and I explain it professionally, and than he said ok its time to end the discussion and start the work, immediately he just simply decommission a website, that means he just shut down the website which I try to safeguard for past few hours. But I got a message and when I check my mobile and I got some good cash and the guy told me, this is not a job, this is an interview and i passed and the cash I got is consider as an appointment order. Before he leave he told me, he had lot of task to do and he felt I’m worth for his job also he said this all jobs are highly classified and you cant share this to no one, if any one ask you how did you got the cash and you can create some backup plan like you’re a game developer or something. But you never say my name and if you do, no one gonna say your name became you will be no more.
