The Internet Business Journey Epi 25 - Use AI to Work Smarter

Artificial intelligence is changing the way people work.
Tasks that once required hours of searching, drafting, organizing, or repetitive work can now be assisted by AI tools. For a small business owner or solo entrepreneur, this can be especially useful because time is often one of the most limited resources.
The goal, however, should not be to use AI simply because it is available.
The better question is: “Which parts of my work can AI help me do more efficiently?”
AI can help brainstorm ideas, organize information, draft documents, summarize material, generate content outlines, analyze data, assist with coding, create marketing concepts, and support many other everyday tasks.
Imagine starting a blog post. Instead of staring at a blank page, you can use AI to generate possible angles, organize your thoughts, and create an initial structure. You can then bring your own experience and judgment into the final piece.
The same principle applies to business.
A small business could use AI to prepare first drafts of customer communications, organize frequently asked questions, research topics, analyze spreadsheets, or develop ideas for marketing campaigns.
But faster does not automatically mean better.
AI-generated information can contain errors, outdated details, or inappropriate assumptions. Important facts should be checked, sensitive information should be handled carefully, and final decisions should remain under human control.
The most valuable skill may therefore be learning how to work with AI rather than simply asking AI to do everything.
Give it clear instructions. Provide useful context. Review the results. Correct mistakes. Add your own knowledge. Improve the final output.
Over time, AI can become part of your workflow rather than a replacement for your thinking.
The advantage is not simply producing more. It is freeing more time for the work that requires your judgment, creativity, experience, and human connection.
Use AI as a tool.
Let it handle more of the repetitive work while you focus on creating something that matters.
